Madeline Simkowiak

Madeline Simkowiak, Hawkeye Co-Editor-in-Chief

Madeline is the new Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Hawkeye, a junior in high school. Her first introduction to journalism was at BTMS, where she ran the Bulldog Brief Website and did video editing for the morning video announcements, which convinced her to join HSM in her freshman year. While she initially planned to approach photography, she instantly fell in love with writing and became the Op-Ed Editor in her sophomore year. Now as the Editor-in-Chief she works on nearly every part of the paper, from writing to design, running meetings, editing, and even the occasional illustration. Outside of school you can find her doing massive piles of homework from her courses at Edmonds college, playing board games, or practicing guitar. After high school she plans to transfer from Edmonds to a four year college and become a History teacher.
