DIRECT DONATION through gofundme.

Donations are TAX deductible as MTHS Boosters is a 501-C3!

Please join us in making a huge difference for an incredible group of students. We’re raising money to benefit the journalism program at Mountlake Terrace High School and the students who produce The Hawkeye newspaper/website, The Tempo yearbook, the Esoteros literary magazine, and the HBN live-streaming/broadcast programs. Frankly, ever since schools closed due to COVID in 2020, these student journalists have had an incredibly difficult time raising money through ad sales, underwriting and fundraisers. Learn more about how these funds will be used and more details at the gofundme page!

Any donation will help make a positive impact.

99 Pledges Volunteer-a-thon

It is time for our annual volunteer-a-thon! 99 Pledges is a service that allows you to donate to specific students or the entire organization, setting your own donation amount.

During the month of March, HSM/Hawkeye/TEMPO/Esoteros staff members are voluntarily performing random acts of kindness and committing important acts of journalism in order to improve MTHS and our local communities.

These students are hoping you might pledge a few dollars to support their efforts. These funds go directly toward furthering our organization’s mission, vision, and goals. Individuals are also raising funds to help defray the costs of participating in the national convention this spring in Kansas City.

Pledge Today

The mission of the Hawkeye/TEMPO/Esoteros, as designated open public forums faithfully serving our audience since 1960, is to provide the MTHS community with quality, thought-provoking, student produced publications.

HSM/Hawkeye/TEMPO/Esoteros are student-centered, student-managed publications where learning thrives and students are honored for the important work they produce. Since their inception in 1960, these publications have enjoyed a national reputation as some of the top student publications. We believe that this is because of the incredible students who work on the publications, the awesome staff and school administration who believe that relationships with students are key to optimal learning, and more importantly the incredible support of our families and community. We simply could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do without your monetary support.

Please know that no donation amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are truly appreciated.

Your donations will help pay for:

  • Sustaining and furthering exemplary student journalism
  • Keeping our journalism programs solvent
  • Ensuring all journalism students can participate
  • Registration fees for journalism conventions
  • Travel to state and national conventions
