Women’s Basketball lose to Bellingham 23-59, fall to 2-3

The Terrace Hawks suffered a tough loss to the Bellingham Red Raiders this past Wednesday, 23-59.

Bellingham’s defense caused Terrace to put up the least amount of points they have had in a game all season. When asked about this tough loss, senior forward Lydia Prelow said,

“We didn’t get back on defense that fast. Our communication and shots not falling were our weakness.”

Bellingham’s offense was also on fire for this match. They put up the most points Terrace has allowed in a game so far this season. Sophomore Adi Mckay put up an impressive 24 points and sophomore Alexa Mee dropped 17 for the Red Raiders.

Sophomore forward, Berit Simonsen led the Hawks scoring with 6 points.

Coaches Andrew Young and Sarah Van Wieringen were taking the helm of coaching for this game. When the coaches were asked about the lack of scoring from Terrace they said,

“We need to follow our shots more and get more rebounds.”
