BOO! Did I scare you? You might be guessing from the start but it’s that time of the year when pumpkins start appearing on people’s front porches, leaves turn from green to oranges and browns, and days become shorter.
With the start of October some people might be panicking about a holiday that’s just around the corner, Halloween! Halloween (or All-Hallow’s Eve) is an annual holiday where people dress up in costumes and go from door to door in order to collect candy. While there’s many ways to celebrate Halloween, whether it be trick or treating, going to a party, or staying at home there’s one thing that’s a staple to the celebration. That being, costumes.
While there are many types of costumes to pick from, some of the more common are things like ghosts and ghouls, witches, cats, and superheroes. To some the scariest part of Halloween is figuring out what to dress up as and how to do it affordably. Witch is why I have taken it upon myself to find the best and most affordable costumes for you to wear on your Hallow’s Eve adventure. Trust me, they’re to die for.
With Halloween right around the corner you may be asking yourself where you can quickly get a last minute costume. Stores like Spirit Halloween and Goodwill have a large selection of costumes during the months leading up to Halloween. There’s also many different craft stores where you can buy all the supplies you need in order to make a gnarly costume.
Here are some classics, and how to make them. So whether you’re haunting the cemetery as a vengeful spirit, flying through the night on a magic broom, jumping over tombstones as a playful cat, or sucking blood as a vampire your Halloween night can be magical with the right budgeting!

Ghosts are by far one of the easiest costumes to make in a crunch. So whether you’re the ghost of a Victorian woman or of a random guy it’ll be sure to scare the life out of other trick or treaters.
