name suggests, around pirates and the Sea.
The tradition of the SeaScare started 20 years ago, when the idea was given to replace the original festival with something new that could better represent and celebrate Brier.
People from all around the Brier community showed up in various costumes and outfits to match the theme of the sea.
The event had several activities for children such as a petting zoo, carnival games, and even a bounce house!
The festival also contained the Porch Light Parade, a parade where you could show off your own homemade “Jolly Rodger,” which is a pirate flag with the skull on it.
The parade had classic cars from the local community, race cars, horses and even bands.
