On Tuesday, March 12 before second period an MTHS senior, Benjapon Hummel Schluger, 18, is alleged to have inappropriately touched a female student in a classroom.
According to Principal Greg Schwab, after the alleged altercation, all the students who were involved were brought into the main office and put into separate rooms to be interviewed separately by authorities. When officers from the Mountlake Terrace Police Department arrived they discovered that Hummel Schluger had barricaded himself in an office conference room. When they entered the room, Hummel Schluger assaulted one of the police officers which led to his arrest.
Hummel Schluger’s backpack was then searched and a knife was discovered.
Hummel Schluger was booked Tuesday afternoon on one count of assault in the third degree, one count of assault in the fourth degree, and charged with carrying a weapon on a school premise. No bail was set for any of the charges and he was released the next day, according to arrest records.
Hummel Schluger was emergency expelled following the alleged incident.
