Join us. Support great journalism.
One of the most important ways our program is supported is through private donations. These funds are critically important to us as they help in so many ways – many of which are never seen publicly, but make a huge difference. Some examples of how these funds are used include:
- Keeping the program financially solvent
- Assisting students who have financial need attend local, regional, state and national journalism conventions
- Assisting students who have financial need attend summer journalism camps and workshops
- Supporting honoraria for our journalist-in-residence program and other guest presenters
- Fund our annual summer leadership retreat
- Fund our annual mid-year all staff retreat
- Add features to our publications that would otherwise be unaffordable, such as multiple runs of color or additional pages, etc.
- Maintaining a reasonable cost for our Tempo yearbook
- Reinvigorating previously dormant publications, such as the Esoteros literary magazine
- Annual scholarships only available to graduating seniors in our program
- and much, much more!
Here’s how you can become a member of our team and also be acknowledged in each of our publications:
