The Terrace Hawks men’s basketball team faced up against the Monroe Bearcats on Wednesday, December 5 and pulled through with a win, 64-55.
Both teams had a slow start and didn’t begin to pick up the intensity until the 3rd quarter. The Hawks went from scoring 22 points total in the 1st and 2nd quarter to scoring 42 points total in the 3rd and 4th.
Senior Mason Peterson and Sophomore Jace Breakfield lead the Hawks with 17 points each. Mason Christianson also added 14 points for the team.
Matthias Guerra led Monroe with 15 points and Efton Chism added 14 points to their total.
The Hawks play next on Saturday, Dec. 8, for the 2018 Alliance Flooring Showdown starting at 9 a.m. at Highline College in Des Moines. Terrace will face off against the Kentlake Falcons at 2 p.m.
