Week one of the Hawks 2016 football season started with a bang. A 49-6 rout over the Sehome Mariners. Leading the Hawks to victory was Senior quarterback Garrett McDowell who ran for one touchdown and threw for two more. One to Junior wide receiver Jeswin John, and the other to Sophomore wide receiver Brandon Bach.
Senior running back Nick Fisher also had a major contribution with two rushing touchdowns of his own. Another Touchdown coming from Senior running back Andrew Blair who transferred in from Shorewood at the beginning of the summer.
The defense played well holding Sehome to only one touchdown, as well as a late fourth quarter pick six from Sophomore cornerback Lane Zuschin to cap off a great night.
Next Friday September 9, the Hawks take on the Cedarcrest Red Wolves at Cedarcrest high at 7:00.
