The 2A, 3A and 4A state competitions for spring sports were held and the results are in.
Golf
Michael Jensen was the only golfer from MTHS to be eligible to compete at the Canyon Lakes Golf Course for its state competition on May 27.
Jensen finished with a score of 93, taking 75th place in state. He was therefore not eligible for the second day.
Tennis
Tennis state competitions were held at Tri-City Court Club in Kennewick on May 29 and 30.
For women’s tennis, Tina Liu and Nicki Bouche were able to place fourth in doubles.
For men’s tennis, Jeremy Ansdell and Henri Breuer tied for 13th in doubles.
Track and Field
The state track and field meets were held at Mount Tahoma high school. It was a three day meet, spanning from May 28 to 30.
The entire women’s track and field team placed fourth in state.
Hailee Malins was able to place fourth in shotput and seventh in discus.
McKenna Hunt placed fourth in the 100 meter hurdles.
Michael Liddell placed fifth in long jump.
Alisha Clingan placed tenth in the javelin.
The 4×200 relay team, which consisted of Sophie Parsons, Julia Hart, Isa Kembol and Taylor McColluch, was able to place eighth.
Jessica Ong placed sixth in the 800 meter dash.
Chinne Okoronkwo capped it off with first place in long jump, triple jump and pole vault.
