A 20-year-old Mountlake Terrace resident and MTHS graduate was fatally stabbed early Saturday morning.
Police arrested a suspect, also an MTHS graduate, who was booked at the Snohomish County jail and is under investigation for second degree murder.
Police say a woman called police from inside her locked room at the 6300 block of St. Albion Way at 1:48 a.m. to report that her male roommate had potentially fatal stab wounds. She also reported that the suspect, another 20-year-old male and reported friend of the stab victim, had fled the property on foot.
Later, police say the 911 operators received another call from a male MLT resident who claimed to have just killed his friend. He was quickly and cooperatively taken into custody by police officers.
The Hawkeye will continue to provide updates as more details become available.
