UPDATE: At halftime, it’s the Hawks 24, Oak Harbor 15. Michael Washington Jr. leads the Wildcats with 9, Julian Snow and Marquis Armstead lead the Hawks with 8 apiece.

Following a tough loss at Mount Vernon Saturday, the Hawks are looking for some redemption and a shot at keeping their 3A state playoff hopes alive. The Hawks host Oak Harbor at 7 p.m. tonight in the Terraceum in this loser-out game. In the previous two matchups the teams have split with the home team taking the “W” each time.

But there’s more at stake this time around as each team is on the verge of elimination from the District One 3A men’s basketball playoffs since each team has lost once in the tourney.

In the previous matchup, Michael Washington Jr. led the Wildcats with 13, and the Hawks’ Zach Karels led all scorers with 21.

The winner plays the winner of the Meadowdale v. Shorewood game this Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Terraceum.
