“Team America” triumphs in annual Macho Volleyball tournament
On Wednesday, Nov. 5 the fifth annual Mountlake Terrace Macho volleyball tournament was held.
Team America worked hard and battled their way through the other teams soon finding themselves in the last round up against the Cowboys.
The teams fought hard but Team America pulled ahead and won the game and the tournament with a 15-11 victory.
“Its senior year so I’m kinda pumped and I’m glad that I finally took it home for Team America,” senior Jesse Prothero said.
The Super Soakers and Cowboys faced off in the second-place game with the winner advancing with Team America on to the WesCo Tournament.
It was a close game but the Super Soakers won 15-13.
Team America and the Super Soakers will face other teams from around the WesCo conference later in the year.
