One firefighter injured after two-alarm fire burns church near MTHS
One firefighter was injured after crews responded to a two-alarm fire at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church near MTHS earlier this morning.
Fire District One Public Information Officer Jerry Sheehan said the fire fighter was not seriously injured.
“He had some debris from the ceiling fall on his head so we took him down [to Sweedish Hospital in Edmonds] as a precaution,” Sheehan said.
Firefighters received the call at 3:30 a.m., and had the fire out by 4:30 a.m.
When crews arrived, Sheehan said flames were on the roof.
Sheehan said investigators do not believe arson was involved, but said they will most likely know the cause later today.
