Students to let their hair “go” to raise funds for Oso

By Nick Fiorillo

ASB and Honor Society have planned a less than traditional way to raise funds for victims of the Oso landslide.

As part of the “Blitz for Oso,” donations will be collected at lunch on April 2, 3 and 4. The catch – three students are letting you cut their hair if you donate $5 or more.

ASB Public Relations Officer and President-elect Taron Castleton is one of the students who will get a hair cut if students give to the cause.

“During both lunches we’re going to sit in a chair and if people donate to Oso we’re going to let them cut our hair,” Castleton said.

On Wednesday, Castleton, a junior, will face the hair cutting. On Thursday it will be senior Peter Kidane, and possibly others throughout the blitz.

If you want to help donate, you can bring cash or checks made payable to ESD #15. All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross.
