Hawks soar 2-0 over Grizzlies

Thursday night, the Mountlake Terrace Hawks Girls Soccer team took on the Glacier Peak Grizzlies at Lynnwood High School.

The first half was filled with great defense from both the Hawks and the Grizzlies.

In the 65th minute of the game Lily Hart knocks in the first goal of the game to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead.

“It feels really good that our team is playing good together. It feels good because we’re beating ranked teams.” Hart said.

7 minutes later, Riley Zucker scored to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead that would eventually seal the win, and keep the Hawks undefeated.

After the game, I asked the Hawks head coach, Evan Hatch what it was like to be 4-0.

“It’s a great start, couldn’t have asked for anything more, it’s been really fun. The team is excided to be doing well, there’s a great energy among them.” Hatch said.

“Shorecrest is my alma mater, they are always a tough team and will be tough this year. I feel good about our chances of doing well, because we’re becoming more prepared as the season goes on.” Hatch said.
