Hawks head to 2A Regionals after losing to Anacortes Seahawks

Mountlake Terrace men’s basketball came out strong to start off the 2A district championship game at Mount Vernon High School but fell short to the Anacortes Seahawks aggressive defense with a score of 48-38. Led by junior forward Khyree Armstead, the Hawks cut the Seahawks’ lead to six points midway through the third quarter but could never get past that six point deficit. Each time the Hawks would begin to come back the Seahawks would always have an answer with either a big defensive stop or a timely three-point basket.

Although this is a loss for the Hawks, be sure to show your support as they head to the 2A Regionals Saturday, February 25th at Mount Vernon High School.
